Can I use compost in my growing media?Updated a year ago

No, we do not recommend using compost in your potting mix. This is because particles can fall through the aeration screen and prevent the wicking system from working properly.  

Our recommended growing media expands when wet to allow the entire system to work as intended. 

If you're worried about providing a nutrient-rich environment for your plants, we find that the recommended fertilizer strip gives your plants everything they need to thrive.
