Yes, you can use the Automatic Watering System with just one box. You will need to cut the tubing to accommodate only using 1 box vs. 2. You'll also need to use a reducer instead of a T-connector as noted in step 6 of the instruction manual.

Note: A 2-Box kit is the smallest we offer. We recommend saving the extra components to use as replacement parts down the road, or to add an additional EarthBox to the setup if you decide to buy another one.
