How much soil you need to fill the box depends on the EarthBox model. Please see below for the required soil volume and capacity of each system.

EarthBox Original gardening system requires 2 cubic feet (60 dry quarts) of growing media (potting mix). That is equivalent to 2 bags of our organic potting mix, which you can purchase here.

EarthBox Junior gardening system requires 1 cubic foot of growing media / potting soil. That is equivalent to 1 bag of our organic growing media, which you can purchase here.

EarthBox Root & Veg gardening system requires 2 cubic feet of growing media/soil. That is equivalent to 2 bags of our planting media, which you can purchase here.
