How should I clean/sterilize/disinfect my EarthBox?Updated a year ago

Although we recommend using the same growing media for up to 8-10 growing seasons, there are times you may need to dump it out and start fresh (e.g. confirmed plant disease, lingering mold or mildew, etc.). 

The first step in cleaning/sterilizing/disinfecting your EarthBox container is to remove the screen and water fill tube and hose everything off. Then we recommend wiping down the inside of the box with a 10:1 water/bleach solution (10 parts water, 1 part bleach). You can wipe down the screen and fill tube as well. After everything dries, then just follow the normal planting instructions.
